  • Reduced Power BI API batch size:

    • Changed MAX_PROJECT_FILTER_SIZE from 20 to 10 to comply with Power BI Admin API's 100-node OData filter expression limit
    • Added comprehensive documentation of node cost calculations for different filter types in new constants.py file
  • Updated test coverage:

    • Adjusted pagination tests to validate batch size of 10 instead of 20
    • Added test for column name truncation exceeding 256-character boundary

The constants import block (lines 93-101) is placed after logger = ingestion_logger() on line 91. This happened because the old code defined inline constants at that position, and the refactoring replaced them with an import in-place rather than moving it up with the other imports.

While Python allows this, it violates PEP 8 convention (all imports at the top of the file) and will likely be flagged by isort or similar linting tools. It also makes the import harder to find when scanning the file's dependency list.

  3. Test test_paginate_project_filter_pattern_includes_at_limit docstring (line 953): says "exactly 20 include filters" — it does test 20 items, but the docstring describing the "at limit" behavior is misleading since the limit is now 10

These stale comments could confuse future developers about the actual batch size behavior.
