Question: DisplayCaptureTools usage in HLK tests #6

Hi All,

I am from a virtio-win team, we develop para-virtualized drivers for Windows VMs
running on top of QEMU-KVM. We ran HLK tests for the new Insider Preview version
of Windows 11 24H2 and found 3 new tests that use MicrosoftDisplayCaptureTools:
Display capture tests - Embedded DisplayID 2.0
Display capture tests - Large EDID
Display capture tests - SetAllEnumeratedModes

Unfortunately, these tests failed with the assertion: "Cannot generate display to capture
mappings without a display engine, capture cart, and toolbox. Unable to determine any
display output  to display capture device mappings - tests cannot continue."

I am looking for the test documentation, but it doesn't say anything about how the
MicrosoftDisplayCaptureTools should be used or configured with the HLK test suite.

Can your team help with this? How should we configure MicrosoftDisplayCaptureTools?
Do we need any physical device to be connected to the VM? If yes - what is the device?
Are these tests relevant to VMs environment at all?

Best Regards,
Konstantin Kostiuk.
